You can use any chassis for a robot. Anything from metal, plastic, wood or Lego can be used as the chassis for the robot. Using the Lego as your chassis is a good idea as it can be dismantled easily, in case you change your design. It is easy to deal with and modifications are simple. When preparing a chassis for your robot, make sure that you use a strong one, which can take a little weight and one strong enough to take an accidental impact.

The micro switch bump sensor should be added in the front. You can fix them by using glue or with the help of elastic bands. You can also use a sliding bump bar and masking tape with it. Use anything but make sure that the micro switch bump sensors stay intact. The elastic bands will help me to reset after a collision. These elastic bands can be added on either side of the chassis.
