After my book club and CJ’s man group, we discussed Rapture almost non-stop for three weeks. Did we want to? What did it mean? Should we? I was especially nervous after all the talk of pain and transformation. I might have a few hang-ups, I thought, but was it worth enduring a lot of pain to get over them?

I shook my head in agreement.

“The price that Master Philip exacts for his participation is that, once he has taken you through the Rapture, he gets to fuck you any time he wants in the future.”

I gasped. “What? I am not having an affair with Master Philip!”

“No, no… not like that. Your husband takes part as well. They usually just watch, but sometimes Master Philip will let them use your mouth while he is fucking you.”
