Since the variables for title and Research Topics for DM were created, you can now proceed to create your new file. Be careful though in naming your new file because if a previous file has the same name, it could be deleted if you fail to remedy the problem.

Hence, the new path would be:

>>>path = ‘/users/usersname/new_researchtopicsdm.txt’

Then, you can open your new file using the function, open(), with the ‘w’ mode. The ‘w’ mode is important to signify that you are intending to write and not to read only.
