CHOOSING YOUR FRIENDS

Carol became a Christian when she was nine years old. She really understood what she was doing and she loved Jesus very much. But when Carol entered junior high school, it seemed as though none of the popular kids were Christians. She wanted to be popular so she left all her Christian friends behind. It was not long before she was going to all the best parties and dances. She gave little thought to Jesus anymore and what He wanted to make of her life. Friends and fun were all the mattered.

Finally, when Carol reached high school, one of her old friends talked her into going to a Christian retreat. At that retreat, Carol realized that she had surrounded herself with all the wrong people and that she couldn’t live the Christian life by herself. She renewed her old friendships at church and found out what a great group of kids they had become.
