During the project setup, under options, choose iOS for the platform.

Save the project.

Choosing iOS for the platform will import the UIKit framework. That will give your playground code access to classes for iOS, like UIImage.

Find an image (jpg or png) and add it to your resources folder. Rename the file to something simple.

Selecting the file will also display it in the main editor pane:

Files in the resource folder can be used with Swift code and the inline results and quick look features in playground. They can also be used as part of the enhanced code comments covered in the final chapter.
