PRIEST

“G ET OUT!” my mom roared. “Everybody! Get out! Get out! Get out!” she screamed until people eventually started moving around frantically.

“Don’t you move,” she said to Prince. She had to threaten him to make him stay. I on the other hand wasn’t moving a got damn place until I broke my foot off in whoever the fuck allowed her to be at this function. Once everyone but the immediate family cleared out we all were standing in the living room. My father, Pria, Prince, Satisa and my mother still had Jasmine who was reaching for me. I wanted to hold her but I didn’t feel nothing short of fucking violent. I put two and two together very fucking fast. This shit reeked of Prince’s ass. My father and I shared a look. Our eyes panned directly to Prince and he was looking everywhere but at us. I took an aggressive step toward him.

“Who the fuck invited her?” I asked again right in Prince’s face. My father stepped up and put his hand on my chest. He looked at Prince and awaited his answer.

“Pria, take Jasmine upstairs.” The temperature was starting to rise and my mother was right to get my daughter out the room because as of right now she was the only reason I was holding onto the piece of restraint that I was. This nigga had to be crazy to do this. To bring her here knowing damn well I wasn’t fucking with her. The fact that I wasn’t quite sure what went on with Satisa had me hot as well. When I came in the only one who looked like they had a whooped ass was Deja but that still didn’t excuse this shit.

“What?”

“You heard me girl. Take my grandbaby upstairs right now!” my mother snapped.

“Oh my God,” Pria whispered and retrieved Jasmine who was completely oblivious to what had went on. Pria took her upstairs and my mother butted in before I could get a word out. I felt Satisa try to move but I kept her with me. She above everyone else here needed to know I didn’t have shit to do with that. I would never be so sloppy.

“Now I don’t know who—"

“Wait. This is between them,” my father spoke. He looked back at Prince.

“I’m sorry,” the words left Prince’s mouth and as soon as they did my father dropped her hand from my chest and I hit Prince dead in his shit. He knew better than to play with me like this. Not only was that some bullshit, whatever angle they were pushing to get Satisa involved was the biggest boundary breach.

“No stop!” I heard my mother squeal.

“Leave them alone woman! This is between them.”

I rocked Prince another time before he finally placed his hands up and got into a fighting stance.

“Yeah nigga, that’s what I like right there,” I goaded.

Prince dove at me and tried to attack my legs. I side stepped him and when he fell to the ground my mother freaked out and dove on top of him to stop my assault.
