LORD GOD MOST HIGH

Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have sworn to the L ORD God Most High [Jehovah El Elyon], possessor of heaven and earth.”

Adoration

Jehovah El Elyon , you are the Lord God Most High. I praise you for your exalted position. I honor you, for you are seated above all else. I lift up your name and bless who you are—the possessor of heaven and earth. You are the friend of humanity. You are the highest being in existence. For all of this and more, I lift you up as King. Manifest your kingdom rule on earth as you demonstrate your power and might above all.

Confession

Jehovah El Elyon , I confess I sometimes place myself mentally in your position. I like to call the shots in my own life. I want to make my own decisions. I forget that you are the Lord God Most High and choose instead to pretend that I am. Forgive me when I fail to recognize you in your rightful place and honor you as the Lord God Most High. Forgive me when I don’t trust that you know what’s best and what will advance your kingdom in the long run. Forgive my audacity in making choices apart from your divine perspective .

Thanksgiving

Jehovah El Elyon , I thank you for being not only the Most High God but also the Lord. You do not rule simply to rule. You have a reason for what you do. Thank you for dwelling in my life and heart and inviting me into the drama of your kingdom. Thank you that I can pray directly to you, the God who is above all and over all.

Supplication

Jehovah El Elyon , I ask you to show me how to live my life in a way that will advance your will, passion, and agenda on earth. Through Christ, you taught us to pray, “Your kingdom come, your will be done.” I seek your hand in my life so my words and actions will manifest the kingdom of the Lord God Most High on earth. And when I face difficulties and trials, help me to remember that you are Lord over all and that you care. You’ve got my back if I will simply trust you. Show me this truth again and again as I look to you to meet my every need.
