Filter Function

Filter function can filter the content by pipeline symbol “|”.

To define a Filter function:

filter func_name(){

}

To call a Filter function:

command | func_name

Example 5.9

filter myFunc() { # define a filter

# want to only show the files with extension . exe

if ($_.extension -eq ".exe") { $_ }

}

dir | myFunc # call the filter function

Output: # only show the files with extension .exe

Explanation:
