Chapter 11 Dante knelt in front of his bed. "Lord, I know that the Bible says that you inhabit the praises of your people. And I've read books about praise by Merlin Carothers and Judson Cornwall that indicate that you bless the work of the people who praise you. I have to admit I'm not very good at it. I mean, you're my father. Why does my father want me to extol his virtues? Maybe I'm out in left field, but in the world of humans, it's the father who extols the virtues of the child, to build him up to face a tough and cruel world. Why would I need to build you up and praise you? I just don't get it."

Dante paused a minute to see if God wanted to comment on his prayer so far. Nothing. "We sing about bringing the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord. Praising requires work and it requires, to a certain extent, me laying down my dignity. I'm more than willing to give you what I can in that area, Lord. I'd just like to understand it. And I'd just like to see results of my labor for you. I've tried to pour myself out as a living sacrifice for you since you asked me to go after Harry Potter and the sexual revolution. My life has been consumed with the fight. And I see nothing positive as having been accomplished. I realize that maybe I've been building a foundation. Maybe success will come rushing upon me like a flash flood because of the foundational work. I don't know. I don't need a flood, but I'd like a little bit of rain to fall on this parched soul of mine. I am drying up here. I don't know how much longer I can go on like this. Please help me. In the name of Jesus. Amen."

Dante slowly got up off his knees and threw himself into his bed. "Lord, I know it sounds like I'm complaining. Also it feels like I'm judging you for not providing. The Bible says that if a boy asks for a fish, his father doesn't give him a stone. I feel like I'm getting a stone here. I hope you don't mind me being honest with you, but that's how I feel. I'm feeling abandoned."

A sound from his computer alerted Dante to the fact that a new chat session had been started and also that he had forgotten to put his computer to sleep before he went to bed. He got up and went over to his desk. He glanced to see who the sender of the message was. From the name, which he didn't recognize, he deduced it was a foreigner. He read the message.

"God is come down to favor you. You have been through a lot and enough is enough. This is your set time. He loves you and this month is bringing new things into your life and ministry and you will see it and it will manifest and you shall handle it with your hands.
