I find myself standing in front of Jayden, still holding me tightly. “Come inside.” Jayden says.

“I should, um. Get back to the Inn.” I step back, but Jayden holds onto me.

“You’re not going anywhere drunk Jessica. You’ll come inside, and we’ll see where the night takes us.” He lets go of my waist and neck, and moves to take my hand, leading me into the trailer.

I follow him, “I’ll take the couch.” I say as we climb up the stairs and enter the trailer.

“No, love. You’ll take the bed.” Jayden spins me around to face him, making me drop my shoes on his floor. He moves us towards the living room, and helps me sit on the couch, “But for now. Food.” Jayden laughs as I fall to the couch, barely able to stand correctly.

“Sorry.” I say covering my mouth as I laugh. I’m not new to drinking, but I am new to drinking and confronting my ex. But why, oh why did I have to drink and then show up here. I feel like I could regret this for the rest of my life.

Or.

This could be the start to the rest of my life.
