3.1.5 Image Processing Application Development

OpenCV (version# 2.4.13) is used to implement all the image processing steps, which include morphological filtering, Canny edge detection, Hough transform, area estimation, obstruction detection and quantification. The whole process is summarized in Fig. 14. Visual Studio 2013 is employed to develop the OpenCV based obstruction detection code using C++ programming language. The obstruction levels are recorded into a.CSV (comma separated values) file.
