MIA STRUGGLED TO FIND her voice. She couldn’t let him continue to think he’d hurt her when she’d just had the most intense orgasm she’d ever had in her life. A frown suddenly appeared, darkening his expression. “I didn’t even think about birth control.”

Her chest grew tight as she thought about what she’d done. Birth control wasn’t the issue. Though her periods were a little irregular, she figured she was at the safest time in her cycle. “That shouldn’t be a problem, but—”

“I’ve had a recent check-up. I swear I can’t give you anything but a baby.”

“I’ve had a recent check-up, too,” she said. “I’m disease free, but feeling extremely stupid for not having this conversation sooner. I’ve never done that before. I lecture my patients about it all the time, for Pete’s sake.”

He placed one finger against her lips. “Don’t beat yourself up about it. It’s done. We’re both safe and I have a promise to fulfill.”

He lifted her hand and kissed her palm. “You’re going to need something to hold onto.”

He took her hand and rapped her fingers around the iron post in her headboard, then did the same to the other. With both hands above her head, holding on for dear life, she watched him gently stroke the underside of her arm. The simple touch was so erotic.

He drew his finger lightly down her throat between her breasts and back up again, taking his time and letting her experience the sensation of his touch on every part of her skin. “You’re the most incredible woman I’ve ever met.”

He nibbled beneath her jaw, then worked his way down her throat to her chest. He didn’t just go for her breast; he made her wait and want. She arched up to his mouth and he finally circled her nipple with his tongue before suckling at the sensitized tip. She felt on the verge of another orgasm and called his name.

“Not yet.” He moved to her belly and circled her navel with his tongue. “I’m just getting started.”

He took his time, slowly making his way downward.

She squirmed and writhed beneath his onslaught, but he wouldn’t be rushed. He was right about needing something to hold onto.

“You’ve got the most perfect legs I’ve ever seen,” he said as he moved down to the end of the bed and encircled her ankles with his big strong hands.
