“I don’t know, mom,” Rumor sighed into her phone. “I’m gonna try to get dropped off today.”

“You’re gonna try? No, how about I just come pick you up?” her mom asked.

“Umm…I don’t know. If I do need a ride, then I’ll call you once I get back to the loft, because I need to grab a few things first.”

“Okay, well, call and let me know.”

“Alright,” Rumor agreed, before ending the call.

Cia was standing a few feet away, as they both stood in the parking lot, outside of their job, waiting for Ruger. “What are you trying to go home for?”

Rumor grimaced. “Oh, now, you finally have something to say to me?”

Cia rolled her eyes, wearing a smirk. “Girl, bye. I wasn’t talking to you for a few hours. It aint that serious.”

“But that’s awkward, Cia. If it’s a problem, then I’ll just go home.”

“Nah, don’t blame me for that. It’s awkward, because you’re a homewrecker. I haven’t talked, because I had to get my thoughts together, after we both sat with Auri, while she cried over my brother for hours. We were both talking about this bitch that he was fucking, knowing that it was you. If anything, that’s why your ass is running.”

“Okay. That did happen,” Rumor acknowledged. “But that’s even more of a reason that I should take my ass home.”

“Home? Girl, me and you both know that you’ll be miserable at home with your mean ass parents.”

“So, what should I do? What, keep smiling in Auri’s face?”

“No. What’s done is done. You my best friend, and we’re not about to fall out over this. So, you’ll be around her. You can just stop fucking her man, and at least then you won’t be the exact reason she’s crying.”

“I…” Rumor got out, before she noticed Ruger’s Benz pull into the lot.

Pulling up near them, he didn’t bother parking.

They both headed to the truck, and naturally Auri attempted to hop in the front seat. However, before her ass could meet the seat, he spoke up.

“Nah, sis. Hop in the back for me. Let Rumor sit up here.”

Cia rolled her eyes, and pouted as she moseyed around to the backseat.

“What are you doing?” Rumor questioned in confusion, as she stood outside of the truck.

“He said that he wanted you to sit in the front.”

“Oh.” Rumor was caught off guard, as she switched around, and climbed into the front seat.

Unfairly, Ruger smelled mesmerizing, as he rocked a Nike track suit, along with a pair of fresh ’95 Air Max’s. Keeping it simple, he only rocked one chain, along with his custom Rolex. Just looking at him, he was an orgasm waiting to happen.

“What’s up?” he asked her, wearing a light smile.

Her heart skipped a beat, as her clit thumped. “Where did you go last night?” she had word vomit. She couldn’t help herself. He’d left the loft after arguing with Auri in their room. He never did return and Auri ended up having to give them a ride to work that day.
