Each of the stables is divided into four stalls. The first one is occupied by miniature horses of different colors.

“We call these our assortment pack,” Pete says. “We’ve got a black, a gray, a chestnut, and a white. Kids, meet Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael.”

“Like the Ninja Turtles,” I say. Before Carly can jump in, I add, “I know, I know; they were famous artists too.”

Pete laughs. “The funny thing is, these horses are all females.”
