I opened the box, pulling out the special parchment I had gotten at a local paper shop, made to be rolled in a scroll. I wrote a simple note. Then wrapped it in a single red ribbon, back in the box.

Lunch was a fun stop at a cozy downtown bistro called Sal’s.
