Having to put up with Daniel just talking shit is almost impossible. But now having to put up with him looking at Jennifer in that dirty way and trying to touch her was too much.

— I'll have to answer, excuse me!

Lucas said as he left the table, picking up his cell phone. Jennifer looked between Daniel and me, looking a little uncomfortable.

— I'm going to the bathroom, excuse me!

I knew she was running away, both from me and from the asshole sitting there at the head of the table. As soon as she gets up, walking past us, I see Daniel's disgusting gaze follow her.

She is beautiful. Wearing a very fashionista outfit with a cropped bow blouse with a flower on the front, with a light jacket. To break up the romantic vibe, she chose a pair of relaxed jeans perfectly.

Her long hair was styled in waves, which made her look even more attractive. I also liked how the light makeup was only more pronounced on the eyes, giving it an unsettling yet delightful intensity.

However, even if she was like a goddess on earth, it didn't justify the rude way in which Daniel observed her most of the time. I let out a long sigh, catching his attention.

I explained and took off my glasses. I didn't want anything to come between me and that scoundrel. Daniel frowned, immediately becoming suspicious.

— Never make Jennifer uncomfortable again.

His expression fell into pure disbelief and also a quick pretense. I rolled my eyes.

— Where did you get that I make her uncomfortable?

— Don't act like a fool. — Snort. — I see the way you look at her and always try to touch her, but I think it's good to end today!

- You are crazy! — He accused me. I give a wry smile.

— Yes, I'm pretty crazy. — I point to his nose. — If you bother her again, it's not just her nose I'm going to break. Today I can break all her teeth beyond repair!

Daniel swallows hard. I notice in my peripheral vision Jennifer returning. Then I put my glasses back on and she takes her place at the table. Her eyes immediately dart between me and Daniel.

- Everything is fine? - She asks.

- Yes perfectly…

I smile, satisfied and perhaps a little too big. Because Jennifer closed her eyes with some suspicion.

I thought my ordeal of putting up with “lovebirds” was over, but it was far from it.

Lucas dragged me to a jewelry store, they were going to choose the jewelry that Jennifer would wear to the party. However, it caught my attention because she didn't seem to want to.
