Victor Horrowitz, missing student and much loved friend. Public appeals for his safe return. Richard watches with the faintest of smiles, Mary haunted by the photograph on screen of the man who lay dead in their cellar.

Later they dispose of the body. The three of them.

Richard insists on bringing Andrew along. Says they can use his strength to help dig.

She watches horrified as he sits on the back of the van, grinning and gibbering over the body.

He keeps touching Victor’s eyes, prodding at them and gurgling with laughter.

He says, looking at her for approval.

Somehow she swallows her scream.
