WHERE DID MY GARDEN GO?

I am not going to lie; I was very proud of the spectacular garden I had created in my world of Minecraft. I had spent countless hours building the perfect garden right next to my home. It had a little bit of everything within it and it provided a great place to relax on a sunny day. Of course, I had neighbors that did not live all that far away, but I was sure they were impressed by my garden as well. While I had never even met them, I had never had any problems with them either, so I assumed they are were okay.

I had designed a beautiful fence made from high quality wooden planks that kept it protected from any potential harm, or this is what I thought. I spent days putting down a path made from a pretty gray stone that I had collected during my explorations. In addition, I had dug a large hole to form a pond and had spent hours collecting water from a nearby stream to finally fill it up. I added a few lily pads to top it off. I even constructed a couple of wooden benches that provided the perfect place to sit after a long day out looking for food.

Within my garden was a colorful collection of bright red and yellow flowers. While some were placed in colorful flower pots, others were put directly into the ground. I had included hedges around the interior of three sides of the fence. Along the side that bordered my home, I had planted vines that perfectly intertwined between the fence slats. I had even put out a few ferns and planted some tall grass near the pond.

Of course, I had also dedicated a lot of time to planting plenty of crops within my garden to make certain that I always had access to a good source of food to eat and barter with when needed. Using a wooden hoe, I had planted wheat seeds, as well as potatoes, carrots, melons, and pumpkins. I was in the process of bartering with the local villagers for more seeds to increase my food selection.

Every night I spent lots of time in my garden; it was my own little quiet sanctuary. It was always the last thing I checked on before settling in for the night. In the morning, it was the first thing that I checked on. Did I mention that I was unbelievably proud of all the work that I had put into creating my garden? It was absolutely perfect. There was nothing left to do, but make sure that I maintained it properly.

One morning I got up just like I always did. Of course, the last thing I did last night was check on my garden. Although it was dark outside, I could tell it looked great, just as it always did. After I hopped out of bed, I headed over to the front door to look out at it.

When I opened the door, I just stood there amazed by the sight I saw before me.
