Two hours later, Jay put his clothes back on. I couldn't move from my position. My body wouldn't let me. He sat on the bed and stroked my hair. He stared down at me, almost looking sad. "I love you, Layla."

I didn't answer. I couldn't force myself to say it. He didn't love me, and I didn't love him.

"Look at me," he quietly said. I reluctantly looked into his eyes. I hated looking into his eyes. That empty, soulless look was chilling. "I really do love you, Layla. I'm going to miss you."

My heart skipped a beat. He knew I was moving.

"You're a sweet girl. And you've been a lot of fun. But we both know this isn't working out."

I felt myself start to shake. I was going to have a panic attack. What was he talking about? Was he going to kill me?

"Think of that as a last hurrah," he continued. "I'm really going to miss you."

I finally found my voice. "What are you talking about?"

He smiled sadly at me. "I'm breaking up with you."

I almost laughed out loud but caught myself. "What?"

"I'm leaving you," he repeated. "I've been cheating on you for awhile with Katie Jackson. She's not as fun to fuck as you are, but I actually respect her. I don't respect you. Sorry, baby." He leaned down and kissed me on the lips. "You really are warm. You should go home and get some rest."

I turned away, shocked. I should have been ecstatic. I wasn't. I was furious. I pushed him off of me. "You're breaking up with me? After you threatened to kill me and my parents if I left you?" I cried. "After everything you put me through? After you just raped me?"

He shrugged. "You would have broken up with me a long time ago if you could have. You don't love me, Layla. You don't even like me. I see the look on your face when we have sex. You can't wait for it to be over."

Jay was breaking up with me. This was everything I had been wanting for the past five months. He was letting me go. I shouldn't care why he was doing it. I was free from him. "Ok," was all I said.

Jay sat up and pulled me up. "How are you going to get home? Your clothes are all ripped up."

I glared hatefully at him. "Can I borrow something?" I asked as nicely as I could. I had to keep calm until I was away from him. He smirked at me and opened his drawer. He pulled out a pair of sweatpants and held them out to me. I reached for them and he snatched them away. "You owe me," he said.

Stay calm. Don't hit him.

"What do you mean, Jay?" I asked, frustrated.

"I mean you owe me. You were chubby and homely when I met you. Now, you're hot. Really hot. I taught you so many things. The next guy who gets you is going to be really lucky.
