⥠WEâRE COMING! â¥

"When the seed of life is planted, so it
can be said life as we know it will
be forever altered with love."
A few weeks later, it was still unknown the whereabouts of Gene Devlin and Jiggs Docherty. So, on a Saturday afternoon, Gramps and Grams stopped by the jail to convince Zack and Lone Walker to take some private time with their wives after ole Ed offered to help them at the jail.
When the men jumped at the opportunity, they decided to do a quick task before picking up their wives. Each couple had a private spot at the pond they had frequented when courting. So, the men took blankets from the jail's backroom, then rode a mile out to the pond and stowed them at each location.
Meanwhile, Grams and Gramps took their wagon to pick up Skylar and Codi Jo first, then go and pick up the twins. They looked forward to bringing their much-loved grandchildren out to the Bar//M// for the night.
Meanwhile, Lacy Marie and Candace were excited for their afternoon of delight with their husbands.
By three oâclock, the two couples sat on flat boulders that served as seats while enjoying a late dinner, which they had packed in the bed of the wagon with ice. It didnât take long to enjoy the food Charlotte packed. From fried chicken, potato salad, homemade bread with peach preserves, iced tea, to pecan pie for dessert. "While finishing up their pie, the couples conversed. I have a hunch," Zack said, "Devlin and Jiggs will make themselves known soon enough, but the next time they strike, it will most likely be in a big wayâgiven they will have heard about Jiggsâs nephew by then."
Lone Walker nodded. "I agree. They probably believe weâll let our guard down, too, so the longer they stay away in their mindâs eye, will give them an advantage over us."
Zack reached his hand out to Lacy Marie, who sat on a boulder less than a foot away from him. "They donât know weâll never lose sight of the reality we live with every day that they will return, so weâll be ready when it comes to our family. No doubt about it."
Candace sat beside her husband on a massive boulder and gave his thigh a loving squeeze. "Undeniably, youâre right, but there will be more family than you all think." She looked at Lone Walker with a smile. "You see, we have even more to celebrate soon after Lacy Marie gives birth."
Lone Walkerâs mouth gaped. He placed his hand on her belly. Do you mean our baby?"
She bobbed her head. "I wanted to wait for the perfect time to tell you. This was it, darling."
Lone Walker stood while bringing his wife with him in an embrace. "Life just keeps getting better, my Candy. You have made this man happier than you know."
Zack and Lacy Marie stood and extended their own excitement-filled congratulations, followed by Lone Walkerâs mischievous grin. "I don't want to leave this place of so many happy memories just yet.
