Maria smiled. She’d booked two rooms at the hotel, actually, adjoining ones. She was already staying in one – she hadn’t lied about having points to burn – and had already taped over the strike plate on the connecting door to ensure she’d have access.

Saturday night was the biggest moment, the biggest risk. On the one hand, everything she had done could crumble. But if she succeeded, she’d have Adam so much further on the path being hers, it would practically be the endgame.

The next day, Adam got the info about the hotel. Maria also sent instructions to bring the bondage gear, the laptop, the Airpods, and the Nest. She’d explained once that he should be expected to submit to her when she rolls out of bed in the morning as much as when she’s at the club.
