I put the heat on in the car and opened the sunroof to let in the fresh fall air. Madison buckled her seatbelt and leaned over to me.

“Thank you for such a nice day,” she beamed as a twinkle ignited in her eyes and she moved within an inch of my face, hinting at her desire. I wanted her too. I actually really liked Madison, and for once in my life, I wanted to be carefree. I didn’t want to think about my uncle, Gram, the Fortress or the damn dark cloud of the Genovicis hanging over my head. I wanted to forget all of that and enjoy a normal day with a beautiful woman. I couldn’t help being born into a criminal family. Having to embrace this messed up lifestyle on a daily basis started to take its toll on me the more I fell for Madison.

I studied her, inches away from me, and let my mind live in the moment as I closed the space between us, lost in those eyes. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her. Madison responded by kissing me back more aggressively and waited for me to give her access with her tongue before we started to make out like a couple of teenagers. I wanted this. As we kissed and I moved my hand down her waist, I realized that my heart must have been secretly longing for a more lasting connection with another woman. More than my one-night stands from the club. I could easily see myself falling completely for this girl. But how? How could this work once she found out about who I am and who my uncle is? I tensed for a second and Madison sensed my change in demeanor.

When she pulled away, we both caught our breath. “What’s wrong?”

“Sorry. Nothing honestly. I remembered something I need to take care of tomorrow.”

“Oh…OK, good. I thought maybe you didn’t like how I kissed,” Madison said with her trademark nervous giggle.

I chuckled. “No, you kiss fine. In fact, I can’t wait to get you back to my house so we can pick up where we left off,” I confirmed with a smirk on my face.

“Oh, really?” she replied with her eyebrow arched.

My heart started to pound in my chest as I remembered our last encounter in the Porsche. “Yes, really, and unless you want what happened in the Porsche to happen again, you need to leave me alone so I can focus on driving.”

Madison took that as a challenge as I started the car. She leaned over and I pretended to ignore her while I drove the car out of the parking lot. Her hot breath blew past my ear as she moved her head close to me and started to playfully nibble on the spot right behind my earlobe, giving me little kisses and love bites. Goosebumps shot down the entire right side of my body. A faint moan escaped my mouth as my eyes shut for a millisecond and I accidentally forced the accelerator all the way to the floor.
