For n > 1 and m = 1 the class is the convex class or the concave class and when objects are all members of the convex class the class is the convex picture class . The picture class is equivalent to the shape class, which can be written as . Images from the picture class , shown in Fig. 5.20, are gradually changing the number of objects shown by symbolic names as: (a–b), (c–e), (f), (g–h), (i), (j).

In the case when n > 1 and m > 1, the objects from the picture class can be members of any shape class , . From the class , the specific classes such the occlusion class , the transparent class or the 3D class are derived. The image from the line-drawing object on the background picture class, for which the object is a member of the shape class, will be denoted as . The occlusion picture class and the transparency picture class are classes derived from the class , and for this reason the images from the classes , or can be regarded as the objects , or .
