Multiple linear regression

Simple linear regression uses only one predictor variable to predict the factor of interest. In many real-world problems, more than one independent variable influences the prediction, so, usually more than one predictor is considered for regression analysis. If two or more independent variables exist, it is called multiple linear regression or multivariable linear regression. Multiple linear regression attempts to model the linear relationship between the the explanatory (independent) variables and the response (dependent) variable by fitting a linear equation to observed data points.
