Chapter Fifteen

When Chloe’s alarm went off at half-past six the next morning, she groaned as she rolled over to hit the snooze button, then threw herself back across Sid, snuggling into her chest. Sid yawned as she stretched an arm above her head with her back slightly arching, causing Chloe to release an adorable whimper.

She lightly patted Sid’s chest, and whined, “Go back to sleep.”

Sid kissed the top of her head as she squeezed her closer, and Chloe released another cute sound. Sid smiled as she lightly traced her fingertips over Chloe’s bare shoulder and arm, and Chloe squirmed, and whispered, “That tickles.” Sid repeated the gentle strokes, and Chloe whimpered as she patted Sid’s chest.

“You’re making me wake up.”

“I know. I’m terribly selfish that way.” Chloe couldn’t help but smile, and as soon as she lifted her head off her chest, Sid kissed her lips. “That’s all I wanted. You can go back to sleep now.”

Chloe narrowed her eyes and scrunched her mouth to the side. “You don’t really mean that, do you?”

Sid licked her grinning lips, then grabbed Chloe and ripped her over on top of herself, eliciting a little excited squeal. And as she snarled and playfully bit her neck and shoulders, Chloe laughed and squirmed out of her arms to sit up on Sid’s hips. Sid tried to sit up to pull her back down, but Chloe pinned her shoulders down, making Sid’s smile grow.

“How long does your snooze button last?”

“Eight minutes.” Sid pouted, and Chloe laughed. “However, I think we can afford to spend fifteen minutes longer in bed.”

“Fifteen sounds good. Turn that alarm off so it doesn’t interrupt us.”

“Don’t move.”

Chloe crawled across the bed, turned off the alarm, then straddled Sid’s hips again. She smiled as she ran her hands up Sid’s torso, starting at her hips, over her abs, cupped her breasts, then palmed up to her shoulders. As she grabbed the sides of Sid’s face, she bent down and drew her into a kiss.

Chloe had expected Sid’s desire for her to slightly diminish in the daylight, when she could see her soft stomach lightly etched with stretchmarks from carrying Brook. But Sid didn’t hesitate to touch and kiss her. As they rolled over, lying side by side, Sid eagerly adored her breasts and even kissed her stomach, hips, and thighs. When they slipped a hand between each other’s thighs, Chloe pulled her back up to kiss her and held her close.

Their lovemaking lasted just over seventeen minutes, but neither of them were too eager to get out of bed. They lied in each other’s arms, basking in the afterglow for a few more minutes.

“I guess we should get up.” Chloe lifted her head off Sid’s chest, and asked, “Want to help me make breakfast?”

“Yeah, I’m starving.”

After sharing a quick kiss, they climbed out of bed to get dressed. Brook was still in bed, so while Chloe opened the fridge to start pulling ingredients out, Sid wrapped her in her arms and gave her nipping kisses on the side of her neck.
