Private Hideaway

Nothing will keep Torin from the woman he loves.

TORIN MICHAELS ISN’T about to let his celebrity status ruin the fragile relationship he’s built with his lover, Zoe. But the pressures of fronting his band Rampage has taken its toll. So what’s a guy to do? Run away to a secluded cabin for white hot sex outside, out of the prying eyes of the public. Will these two get their happily ever after or will forces beyond their control ruin their bliss?

“Why are we camping again?” Zoe folded her arms and propped her feet on the dashboard of the Jeep and watched the traffic blur by. She stole glances at Torin and hid her grin. Behind the wheel of her jacked up Jeep, he looked sexy. Hell, the man oozed sex just walking into a room. Things were still shaky between them, but he’d dropped his rock star persona since they’d begun living together again.

But life wasn’t normal. Far from it.

“We are camping to hide from the paparazzi.” Torin drummed his thumbs on the steering wheel. “They’ve probably got a tracking device on your Jeep, but I don’t give a shit. We’re going somewhere they won’t expect and it’s going to be peaceful.”

“Where are we going?”

“It’s a surprise.”

Zoe allowed the smirk. Trust Torin to keep everything on the down low. He understood her need for privacy despite his crazy touring schedule and overzealous fan base.

“This,” Torin said and brought the vehicle to a halt, “is where we are going. Shady Mills Campground.” He drove down the gravel drive. Maple tree branches swatted the sides of the Jeep. The scent of the wild flowers drifted in the front windows. The driveway seemed to last forever.

“Where is the campground?” Zoe tugged her sunglasses off her face and assessed the landscape. “I don’t see anything but trees.”

“That’s the beauty of the plan.” Torin rounded another corner and the drive widened. Knots of camping vehicles dotted the landscape. A store offered ice cream and various other supplies, while the pool water shimmered in the bright sunlight. Off to the right, a gigantic pond glimmered. More maple trees lined the drive paths.

“I don’t see anyone. It’s the middle of July. Someone has to be here.” She sat on the edge of her seat. “Come on, Torin. These places are usually teeming with people. What’s up?”

“There are people.” Torin stopped the Jeep and pulled out a map. “But they aren’t here right now.” He pointed to a red circle on the map. “Sixty-five. Remember that number.”

“Why?”

“That,” he inched the Jeep forward, “is our lot number.” Torin drove down the winding path to a secluded area of the campground. No other campers or vehicles were visible. He pulled into a gravel path next to a log cabin. Bright orange mums and daisies blossomed in front of the weathered grey building. “There. We’re off the grid. Kind of.” He whipped out a set of keys. “These are the keys to our private hideaway. No one will bother us because no one knows we’re here.
