This fast-moving dinosaur was covered with muscles, seemingly always working with specific purpose. With vicious serrated teeth, hooked claws, and a keen sense of smell, they were able to hold their prey strategically and act as killing machines. They were aggressive, action-oriented hunters with large heads, wide mouths, and strong large rear legs, probably weighed between 2-4 tons. The allosaurus was almost the same size as the large Tyrannosaurus.
