4. Various types of kokedama
These days, some Japanese people make special types of kokedama with aquatic plants and mosses. You can grow them in an aquarium, an aqua-terrarium, or even a garden pond. Hanging kokedama are also interesting. You can tie a kokedama with hemp thread and hang it, or you can embed a hook in a kokedama when you make it and then hang it. Another type of kokedama are the ones without plants. There is no such rule that a kokedama must have a plant. However, these ones could be slightly fragile. You can mix something fibrous in the soil to make the structure strong.
