The Dark Witch seemed caught up with doubt and the flute hovered above the slimy concoction.

Jade searched her mind urgently for the right thing to say. “We can prove it!” she blurted out. But as soon as the words were out of her mouth, she wished them back in. She’d just said the first thing that had come into her head. Jade turned helplessly to the White Cat.
