Sync Contacts

If you select to sync your contacts between the iPhone and the computer, you can sync from your Contacts (OS X 10.8) or Address Book (Mac OS X 10.7 and earlier) applications on a Mac or Outlook on Windows. Additionally, as shown in the following illustration, if you have Yahoo! or Google contact lists, you can sync those. You can also specify that contacts created on the iPhone that aren’t in groups should be added to a specified group on your computer.

Syncing contacts with both iCloud and the computer can (and probably will) result in duplicated contacts on your iPhone.
