Click the new pipeline that was created by the Copy wizard to open it up in the Draft pane. You can see that what you coded above is actually pretty close to what the wizard created. You’ll notice a few additional items.

First, in the BlobSource property, you should notice the skipHeaderLineCount property. This was selected when creating the linked service in the wizard. This tells the copy activity to skip the first line of the file, which contains the column names, not actual data. The pipeline will fail if this is not set.

Also notice the recursive property, which is set to false. This property simply tells the copy activity to also process all files in any subfolders of the rawdata folder. This could be set to Yes but since the rawdata folder has no subfolders, you can leave this as false.

The SqlSink has different writeBatchSize and writeBatchTimeout values. This isn’t critical but it is good to understand.

Also notice the addition of the translator type section, with a type and columnMappings property.

Other than that, it is pretty much the same and good to go. Let’s go see how the pipeline is doing.
