Hearing Kirihaâs declaration, Maguz lost his temper and grew ever more enraged.
âThen I will begin my reign right here and now by destroying you! My soldiers, kill them!â
He no longer had the expression of a calm leader. It had been replaced with the expression of a cruel, cold-blooded beast baring its fangs. His heart was just as twisted as Tayumaâs.
âIâm sorry, Uncle Kouma. Your son has gone to a place from which he can no longer return...â
Koutarou mumbled sadly to himself as he looked at the attacking crowd of enemies. He had no sympathy for Raiga, but he was heartbroken to think of his father. Koutarou, like Kiriha, strongly valued family.
âWhat are you mumbling about, brat?!â
However, Tayuma brought him to his senses. Seeing Tayuma stand in front of the soldiers prepared to shed blood for his self-righteous, egotistical, diluted sense of justice filled Koutarouâs heart with anger. An anger that grew even greater fueled by the sadness he felt.
âDid you go mad seeing the superior power of your superior opponents?!â
âIâm glad youâre here, Tayuma! You really put things into perspective for me!â
Thoroughly angered, Koutarou extended his right hand forward as if he meant to strike Tayuma. But what came next wasnât an attack.
âCradle, give me my sword!â
Koutarou issued an order to Clanâs spaceship above the surface via his bracelet.
âAs you wish, my lord.â
Clanâs spaceship, the Cradle, obeyed his order without delay.
âCome, Signaltiiin!â
âCall sign confirmed. Coordinate axis fixed. Commencing transfer of Signaltin.â
A black hole appeared in front of Koutarouâs extended right hand. It was a hole in space-time created so that the Cradle could deliver the sword to Koutarou.
âHmm...?â
When Koutarou grabbed hold of Signaltinâs handle from the hole, he noticed something strange. In addition to the first space-time hole, another six had surrounded him. Inside them were devices each a little larger than soccer balls. They emerged from the holes and floated towards him without command.
âClan, what is this?â
âItâs additional equipment that Theiamillis-san and Pardomshiha prepared for you. Itâs called the Garb of the Lord.â
âTheia and Ruth-san did this?â
While he understood the situation, Koutarou was still puzzled. It was then that a hologram with two choices appeared in front of him. One read: âBecome the emperor.â And the other: âDo not become the emperor.â
âIt seems like Elfaria-san was also part of its development.â
âIt sure looks like it...â
Koutarou touched the âbecome the emperorâ choice while wryly smiling. It was the startup order for the additional equipment, but Elfaria had put her own twist on it. It was almost certainly some kind of joke or prank.
âEngaging legendary weapon system series 01-A: Garb of the Lord. Garb of the Lord has been put under control of the maneuver suit.â
The Garb of the Lord linked to Koutarouâs armor via gravitational waves, and was put under control of the armorâs AI. After that, its various parts began flying around and automatically connecting to the armor itself.
âI see, so this is what it is...â
The additional equipment referred to as the Garb of the Lord was a supplement to Koutarouâs armor.
