Most of the anger the boy called Satomi Koutarou felt was usually directed at his own powerlessness. He was a simple, expressive boy, so it often looked like he was angry when he was frustrated or annoyed, but it was quite rare for him to openly display genuine anger.
But right now, he was unmistakably incensed. And it wasnât some half-assed anger, either. The rage he felt now was about as fierce as when Alaia and Charl had been kidnapped.
âWhy canât you just leave us be...? We just want to be close to one another...â
Koutarouâs was squeezing Signaltinâs hilt in his hand. The metal of his gauntlet screeched as it clenched tightly around it. It was as if the screams in Koutarouâs mind were leaking out.
After descending on the lifeboat, Koutarou used the coordinates he had gotten from Clan to head towards the battlefield. Upon arriving, he saw his twenty comrades lying on the ground, all unable to move. Most of them were seriously injured and would die if left untreated. And amongst those twenty injured people were five girls that were very important to him: Kiriha, Sanae, Yurika, Maki, and Shizuka. Each of them were struggling with their own solitude and sought the warmth of others. They were his friends that supported each other to live. Koutarou couldnât stand to lose even one of them, no matter what. He wouldnât be able to take it if they werenât all smiling together. And now they all laid collapsed on the ground with life-threatening injuries. No, Koutarou wouldnât stand for this. And he would never forgive those responsible.
â...Iâm glad youâre machines.â
Koutarou readied his sword. In front of him were fifteen robots. It didnât matter how strong they were. He would destroy every last one of them. He had to save his companions as quickly as possible.
âBecause I donât think I could hold back right now...â
Koutarou was angry. If he could project the fire in his eyes, the robots would surely all have melted in an instant. That was just how intense his fury was.
More people gathered on the bridge of the Hazy Moon to watch the fight unfold through the monitor. Since they were the ones whoâd helped Theia and Elfaria escape, they were well aware of what this battle meant. Thatâs why sobbing broke out when the girls collapsed. At this rate, it was only a matter of time before their beloved empress fell into the hands of the coup dâetat army.
âWho is that knight...?â
âIâm not sure... but sure he does look eccentric...â
However, when a lone knight appeared on the screen, the onlookers began whispering.
The knight was wielding a traditional knightâs sword and wearing knightâs armor. It was a very classic look that most of them had only ever seen on TV and in movies in this day and age. What stood out the most, however, was the knightâs youth and the color of his armor.
The knight was quite clearly an adolescent, still young enough to be called a child. He was just about princess Theiamillisâs age.
