Morgan is a sixty-year-old nurse who had explored seven prior lifetimes. In one of these she experienced going through the death process where she was greeted by the family she lost. She could still vividly recall the intense feeling of love, giving her a sense of what our session would be like.

Like me, Morgan had been a student at Atlantic University—the school founded by Edgar Cayce at the same time he founded the A.R.E. As such she was exposed to a significant amount of material about past lives, regression and hypnosis. This gave her greater insight and an expanded consciousness, making her an ideal candidate for this research project.

In the regression, Morgan returned to her life as Cameron, a slender, pre-teen male with thick, black straight hair, a dark complexion and hands that were starting to look work-worn. He wore sandals and not much clothing—a brown-colored skirt and no shirt. Morgan said the skirt was brown but she couldn’t tell if it was made out of material or animal skins.

This lifetime occurred between 300-400 AD somewhere in the southern hemisphere. Cameron described the grassy landscape as hilly, but said there was a flat, tree-lined area in the distance. The trees concerned everyone because they never knew what danger would emerge from the woods to cause them harm. Nonetheless, he considered it a safe place and he spent his days there caring for the animals, milking cows and leading the sheep to a nearby pasture to graze. From that pasture he could see a village straight ahead, dotted with tents and fruit trees. He sat on the ground to have his evening meal, pulling out a bag of food containing hard bread and a plum, plus drinking water carried in a dark leather bag.

The significant event in Cameron’s life came when he was six years old. A group of marauders invaded and destroyed his village. “They were on horses with spears that they swung,” he recalled. “They took my mother and others with them. I had other siblings—younger and older sisters. I saw them ride off with my mother and saw the bodies of my dead sisters, as they killed all those they didn’t take. I hid under a white rock. I was small enough to go underneath and I did.”

Not everyone from the village was there at the time, including Cameron’s older brother and a woman that took care of him that he called auntie, although he wasn’t sure she was related to him. When they came back from hunting they saw the massacre and started the grim task of cleaning up.

Cameron flashed ahead to when he was eighteen and another band of people came through. This time they were peaceful. “They had been wandering and settled in our village,” he said. “They had different trades. They made baskets and did a lot with stones and jewels.
