Drivers

If your PC has been acting more unresponsive than usual and lags in performance, there is a possibility your PC may require either a driver update.

A driver is simply a piece of software that allows the hardware to run. Think of it like this, any component inside the PC requires a piece of software to make use of that component. The software will converse with your PC and your PC will know that it can run the required hardware.

An outdated driver may cause your PC to slow down or possibly cause a particular piece of hardware to not run. The simplest way to update all relevant drivers is through Windows 'Device manager' which can be accessed via searching for it in the start menu.

Once opened, you will see a screen similar to the one seen below in the image I have included. This screen will show a list of all the hardware currently connected to your PC.
