Chapter 6 the Frontend
The Figma UX/UI
The first step to creating any application is to determine what exactly you need to display, and how exactly your users will interact with the application.
Since, in the backend, you only have a list of clients and the possibility to create a new client, you need to build a user interface related to this functionality. When building a new UI, it is perfectly okay to start with a wireframe, just to throw some ideas around. A professional UI designer will build a UI proposal in software like Figma. This is a free online UX/UI tool that can be found at figma.com.
Inside of Figma, you can create a new web project, where you will use simple rectangles and text to create a basic UI sketch of what you need to achieve.
Some argue that you can use rectangles and text, even in Microsoft Word, to achieve the same result. But Figma offers you the opportunity to use the same components that you will use in React, so you can create a pretty accurate UI representation of what the frontend is going to look like.
Besides that, Figma offers you the possibility to create multiple screens and link them through click actions, so that you can create a pseudo-application that is much easier to test with your users.
But for this case, it is enough to simply create a quick sketch in Figma so that you can then proceed to building your frontend (see Figure 6-1).
