Chapter Eight

Joseph rolled off of Cady and rested breathlessly on the mat. Laughing out loud with complete and total jubilation, he announced, “You are fuckin’ magnificent!” Turning back to her, he placed a hand in her middle, as if to anchor her down. “You’ve given me my life back. Did you know that?” He kissed the side of her face tenderly.

Placing her hand on his chest, she reveled in the moment. “I’m glad.” Her body was still quaking with tiny sensual aftershocks. “That’s what I came to do. You are making marvelous progress. It won’t be long, now. You won’t even need me.” With ease and a dexterity that surprised them both, Joseph threw one leg over both of hers. “You aren’t going anywhere. I need you – more than you will ever know.”

“You can get another physical therapist, one that will just come in, periodically. I can recommend one for you.”

Growling, Joseph bit her ear lobe – making her squeal softly. “That’s not what I’m talking about. I need more lovin’ from you – what we just shared was incredible and I’m not ready for it to end – not yet.”

“It wasn’t me that made it fantastic. Don’t you think it was because you were hungry for sex – like a starving man’s first meal?” Cady wasn’t judging; she was being honest.

Joseph took her chin in his hand, to make sure she was looking straight at him. “I don’t think I’m that shallow, Cady. I know what I’m feeling.” Cady was silent. She wanted to believe him.

“Will you stay? Will you let me love you for a little while?” The ‘little while’ was what she was worried about. But before she could talk herself out of it – Cady’s heart answered for her. “Yes. While I am here, until we have you up and walking, it would make me very happy to share your bed.”

“Come on, Cady. Joseph will be fine. We want you to go to the spa with us.” Jessie pulled on Cady’s arm. “If we have to suffer through a Brazilian wax job, so do you.” Cady almost died.

Joseph sent her a wicked grin. Since they had made love the night before, Joseph hadn’t been able to think about anything else. He couldn’t wait to get his hands on her, again. Turning their exercise regimes into erotic wrestling sessions sounded like a good idea to him.

“All right.” Cady huffed. Before she was dragged from the room, she went to Joseph’s chair and bent down. “I know you want to show off for your family – but do not try and walk by yourself until I get back.”

“Yes, dear.” With a snort, he pulled her down for a kiss right in front of the other two girls.

“Whoot! Whoot!” Libby couldn’t resist. Pumping her little fist in the air, she was happy with what she saw. “Atta boy, Joseph!”

“Look at him,” Jessie teased. “He’s blushing.”

“You two troublemakers get outta here, while I give my woman some sugar.” Cady blushed from the tip of her toes to her hairline.
