Two days after Valentine’s Day, I’m staring at the ceiling of my bedroom and my mouth feels like sandpaper. The weekend was a quiet one for me. This morning I went to church with my parents and sister, but I told them I wasn’t feeling well to get out of a Sunday brunch. Mom told me she’s sorry to hear about me and Liza, and that she’ll pray I’ll find a good girl to settle down with. Her disappointment sent me a wave of nausea. I rushed home and have holed myself in my apartment ever since.

Dating Liza, or any girl, doesn’t feel right. But Dylan kissing me was frightening. Being with him lights me up inside, but is that truly who I am? Am I the kind of man who dates other men? Turning my head, I stare at the part of my mattress where he laid down, naked.

I touched him and it felt like lightning. He liked it, and damn it, I liked it, too.

“I’m gay,” I mutter out loud to the ceiling. See? The words don’t even feel correct coming out of my mouth.

I groan and get up, then pull my laptop to my lap. It’s time to do research.

My next ten minutes of results vary. While looking up gay porn is all sorts of weird, I do find another conclusion. Apparently not every queer man is into constantly slamming their dicks into other guys’ asses. Some simply like to watch…and be watched. Some like to frot and be intimate in non-penetrative ways.

Huh. The way Dylan looks at me has always turned me on. I want to try all of this, but only with him. I think it’s time to put my research into action.
