Riding behind Bram is completely different from riding behind Aaron. My cousin was just a body to hang onto. I wasn’t aware of his every breath or the tension in his muscles. I could focus on the passing scenery instead of the way my inner thighs grip Bram’s solid form and my hands spread across his washboard stomach.
And I sure as hell didn’t finish the ride with my pussy soaking wet.
We don’t head directly back to the ranch. Instead when we reach Pine Valley, we’re behind almost two dozen other bikers as we pull into a local pub that the prez apparently owns—and where my cousin Anna works. We don’t find any space up front, so Bram heads around to the side of the tavern where a few other bikers are parking their rides.
There’s no street lighting here, and most of the others are already heading in when Bram shuts off the engine.
In the sudden quiet and dark, I unbuckle my helmet. I’m moving slowly, my ass slightly numb from the constant vibration and my thigh muscles aching from the unfamiliar tension of riding.
I almost groan when Bram bends his head to remove his helmet, the slightest shift of his body between my legs a torturous tease to my oversensitive flesh. But he’s probably waiting for me to get off. Trembling, I awkwardly swing my leg over the back of the seat and hop down, my two feet not so steady on the ground.
Still straddling the bike, Bram catches my wrist and tugs me against him, so I’m half sitting on his hard thigh, and he’s holding me sideways against his chest with his arm around my back and his left hand on my hip.
His right hand cups the side of my neck, his thumb pressing against my jaw and turning my head toward his. “What did you need, Aspen?” Each word is low and rough. “When you were under me—what were you going to tell me you needed?”
Instantly I’m back on the dune, my back on the hot sand, his weight over me. My breath shudders.
Aaron’s voice cuts through the silence. “You coming in, Penny?”
“In a bit.” I sound hoarse and breathless, my gaze locked on Bram’s in the dark. “We’re just finding our land legs again.”
“All right. I’ll send you a text in about ten minutes. Then I’ll come looking.”
“Okay.”
“Don’t make me come looking.”
This time Bram answers, because we all know that warning wasn’t for me. “You won’t have to.”
The crunch of gravel fades beneath his departing footsteps. Bram’s shadowed gaze never leaves mine. Doesn’t check to see if my cousin’s really gone. He just pulls me up higher, until my ass is resting on the bike’s tank and my legs are draped over his thigh.
“As I was saying . . .” His thumb strokes down my cheek to press gently at the corner of my mouth. “But maybe you need a reminder.”
He pushes his thumb between my lips, opening me for the hot thrust of his tongue. Blistering desire sears straight through me.
