The fine chocolate dude walked by with his celly to his ear as redbone and I continued to talk.

“I’m Brooklyn,” she introduced herself. “You should come check me out. I have a shop on Nineteenth Street.”

The DJ was playing my theme song, “Conceited” by Remy Ma when I walked into the club, and headed straight for the bar.

Let me get another double P.” I turned and saw the fine-ass nigga that had brushed up against my ass in Kroger. My heart skipped a beat as he turned and walked away while Paula made his drink.

“Who is that, Paula?”

“Girl, that’s Telly,” Paula said as if I knew who he was. “He’s from Jersey, and got cheddar for yo rat ass too!”

“Call me what you want, but don’t hate ’cause I like cheese.”

Paula laughed.

Telly brought his fine ass back over to get his drink. “What up, ma?”

“Hey, what’s up?” I answered.

“Didn’t I just see you?”

Felt me too. “Yeah at Kroger’s.”

“I knew that was yo sexy ass. What you drinking on?” he asked, looking at my glass.

“A chocolate martini.”

Telly smiled, showing his fanged-out grill. “What you know about martinis?”

“I know I love them.”

“I see you got a little class.”

Got a lot of ass too, I thought.

Telly was looking good in his green, fur-hooded G-Unit coat and matching broccoli-colored Tims. I’d been so busy lusting him in Kroger’s, I hadn’t noticed his ’fit.

“Paula, give her another one.”

Paula did as she was told.

Telly sized me up, then sat down next to me.
