All that sitting and waiting made me more and more nerverous. I was so nerverous there were butterflies doing the cancan in my tummy.

And then all of a sudden Ms Weiss called out Zoe’s name and asked her which part she wanted to be. And Zoe got mixed up and said ‘Miaow?’ instead of ‘Tiddles, the ship’s cat’.

And everybody laughed.

Then Zoe did a few more miaows and pretended to do that thing cats do when they lick their paws then rub them behind their ears, and then she pranced around like a real cat and everyone laughed again. Especially Ms Weiss and Mr Zugaro, who had giganterous smiles on their faces the whole time she was acting and kept giving each other ‘meaningful looks’, like this:
