As soon as they reach the shore, Prince Sol rushed off, explaining that he was going to send a raven to his parents.

Nicai scowled at his backside.

"He fought," Tarith said. "He didn't do half bad either."

“He ran away from the fight,” Nicai whispered because her voice wasn’t entirely back to rights just yet.

"Apparently, he started to train sometime while you were in the coma," Koll said. "I hadn't realized, and I pity the guard who had to handle that, but he did do well enough. He was frightened."

“He’ll never be a good king if he can’t stand up to the dangers that threaten Burning Havens,” Nicai insisted.

The other two couldn’t argue that point.
