“GABE, GATHER EVERYONE IN MY OFFICE RIGHT AWAY,” Alex’s voice carried a sense of urgency as he dialed up the tension in the room. Time was slipping through their fingers like grains of sand. Realizing that Ares intended to disrupt the concert, he sprang into action, calling for an emergency morning meeting. Eryx’s safety was non-negotiable.

In a matter of minutes, the team assembled in Alex’s office, a mix of concern and readiness evident on their faces. Alex stood before them, his posture rigid, his eyes focused on the task ahead.

“Thank you all for being here so early,” he began, cutting straight to the chase. “We’re facing a serious crisis that we can’t ignore.”

Gabe spoke up, his brow furrowing with determination. “Whatever it is, we’re ready to tackle it, sir.”

“I’ve received word that a someone is planning to attack tonight’s concert at Carnegie Hall,” Alex revealed, the weight of the news settling heavily on his shoulders.

“Isn’t that where Eryx is performing?” Marcus sought clarification, his voice tinged with worry.

“Yes, and that’s exactly why we can’t take this lightly,” Alex emphasized, his gaze unwavering.

“Do we know if this being is connected to the Order?” Emma asked, her concern mirroring that of the team.

“It is highly possible,” Alex replied, acknowledging the ominous possibility. “But our main focus is Eryx’s safety and the safety of everyone at the concert.”

“What’s the plan, then, sir?” Emma inquired, her voice steady, a hint of determination in her eyes.

“To survive,” Alex declared, his words stark and unyielding. His tone might have sounded dramatic, but he knew the extent of Ares’ threat and wasn’t willing to risk anything.

Tension hung in the air, palpable and suffocating. Each member of the team grappled with the weight of the situation in their own way. Gabe’s jaw was clenched, his mind already working through strategies. Marcus shifted from foot to foot, his impulsive nature itching for action. Olivia clenched her fists, her eyes revealing a hidden well of power. Lucas was busy running scenarios through his mind, his gaze focused on the holographic screen in his hand. Emma’s concern for Eryx was evident.

He knew that not everyone might agree with his approach or assessment of the situation, but there was no time for debate. Their mission was clear: protect Eryx at all costs.

As the team began to discuss their strategy, ideas and suggestions flowed like a torrent. They considered everything from enhancing security at Carnegie Hall to setting up magical wards around the venue. Each member’s expertise was put to use, and the room buzzed with a sense of purpose.

He glanced out the window, the evening sun casting long shadows across the city. The concert was hours away, and they had a lot of work to do. He couldn’t allow his emotions to cloud his judgment, but deep down, he knew that tonight, they were fighting for more than just a successful mission.

As the meeting came to a close, the team’s commitment to the mission was unwavering. They had a formidable opponent in Ares, and the challenges ahead were daunting.
