Chris came back to himself with the feeling of Marco's hand weakly stroking his hair. He lifted his forehead from where it had fallen against the other man's chest and blinked at him blearily.

"Hey."

"Hey," Marco replied, his voice a deep rumble in his chest.

Chris pulled out gently, wincing, and flopped back on top of Marco.

The other man chuckled. "All right?" He ran his fingers through Chris's damp hair.

Chris shivered. "Fantastic." He sighed happily. "You?"

Marco writhed slightly. "Immensely gratified, thank you."

With a snort, Chris dropped a kiss on his chest. "Might I 'immensely gratify' you into taking another shower?" he said in a posh voice. "We're a mess now."

"I'm pretty sure you can't use the English language that way."

"I'm pretty sure I just did."

Marco laughed. "Okay, then." He leaned up and kissed Chris's hair. "Shower now, or should we wait until I return the favour?"

Chris froze. "Oh. Good point."

Marco laughed again. "I should be offended you need reminding."

"Hey, listen," Chris chuckled, "I think I pretty much whited out during that last run, so cut me some slack."

Tangling his fingers in Chris's hair, Marco steered their mouths together. "No," he said when they broke for breath, "No slack. I'm going to keep at you until your eyes refuse to focus and your mind is a haze of nothing."

"A sex coma."

Marco threw back his head and laughed. The sound bounced off the walls of their small room.

"Yes. Exactly. A sex coma."

"Fantastic," Chris murmured with a smile.

When at last Chris was sound asleep, Marco crept out of bed, took the netbook from his bag, and carefully buried it at the bottom of a zippered pocket in Chris's.

He slipped back into bed, gently kissed Chris's forehead, and, praying that would be the end of it, fell into a deep, relieved, sleep.

The train to London rocked the two of them gently as they rode, Chris leaning against Marco and Marco against the window. Chris looked at their fingers entwined. "Things are going to change now," he said murmured.

"Yeah?"

"I've gotten used to seeing you during the day."

"We'll still have the evenings together," Marco reminded him, kissing their knuckles.

"I know, but it's not the same."

"No, it's not."

They fell silent for a few minutes, both of them lost in thought.

"I've really liked it, though," Chris said.

"I have too," Marco replied.

"Maybe I should extend my stay."

Marco turned his head slightly to look at him in surprise. "Really?"

Chris smiled shyly. "We could go to the places we didn't get to on our way here. The places you wanted to show me."

"Dartmoor?" Marco's eyes sparkled.

"Yeah."

Marco tucked his arm around Chris's waist and pulled him close. "I would love that," he said dreamily.

"I don't have to spend the money to buy a new netbook now," Chris said, "Since it was in my damn bag this whole time.” He made a face at himself, but shook it off. “That means I can change the plans today," Chris said, his smile threatening to stretch off his face.

"Fantastic," Marco murmured, and Chris reached out to touch the lavender flowers tucked into the seat in front of him.
