Chapter 9: Docker Cloud

Cloud settings and IDs

The cloud is going to access your Docker id in order to link the hub account and the cloud account together.

If you have an account with Docker already, then you can use the same login information to sign into the cloud.

Do you not have a Docker id? Then that is no problem. You just need to sign up for one on the Docker cloud website or log in on the command prompt. Whatever name you pick will be the name space for the account so choose wisely.

Managing cloud services

Your hosts can be linked to the Docker cloud or the nodes that it offers. So, if you have a Microsoft cloud or Amazon cloud account, you can link it to Docker. There are other services such as GitHub or Bitbucket that can be linked to the cloud as well.

Email address

Several different email addresses can be added for Docker, but you are going to need to have a primary one so that notifications can be sent to that one instead of you having to search through all of your emails for an email from Docker.

If you have multiple email addresses to add, just follow these few effortless steps and they will be added!

● Step one: Choose the user icon listed at the top before you move on to the account settings.

● Step Two: Go to the section entitled emails so that you can add the emails that you need to be added.

● Step Three: Select the plus sign so you can get an email verifying your email.
