HOW FAST COULD THE MEAT-EATERS RUN?

T. rex could make short sprints at a top speed of 29 km/h (18 mph). Smaller meat-eaters were often faster. Velociraptor and Dilophosaurus could both reach speeds of about 39 km/h (24 mph).

HOW FAST COULD BRACHIOSAURUS RUN?

Sauropods such as Brachiosaurus were so large that they had to keep three feet on the ground while moving to support their weight. It was unlikely that Brachiosaurus would have been able to manage more than a lumbering 8 km/h (5 mph).

WHO WERE THE GREATEST KILLER DINOSAURS?

Enormous predatory dinosaurs were the terror of the Mesozoic Era. These fearsome killers stalked and hunted live prey, scavenged meat from dead carcasses, and even ate one another. The most famous and ferocious of the large predators included T. rex, Allosaurus (AL-oh-saw-rus), and Tarbosaurus.
