I flinched back, but it just grinned and yapped adorably.

Everywhere I looked, I could see fearsome beasts being treated like pampered pets.

In a park across the street, a woman was throwing a stick for her crocodile to fetch.

A grizzly bear stuck its head out of a passing car and smiled at me.

A couple strolled past with a baby in a pram. Instead of a dolly, it was hugging a live scorpion.

I tried my best to look frightened.

It wasn’t very convincing. All we had to do was wander into an old library and steal a bomb from some kittens. How hard could it be?

I’m sure they were very vicious as kittens went, but they were still kittens.

This seemed like it was going to be the easiest part of the mission, not the hardest.
