God is holy and faithful. Let us be grateful.

• God’s mercy. Again, I am thankful that God doesn’t lower His standards to accommodate our disobedience and inabilities. I’m glad that we can depend on Him to be the same yesterday, today, and forever. And yet, what a comfort it is to be reminded that “he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust” (Psalm 103:14). Fully understanding–even better than we–that our best is nowhere near being good enough, “God, being rich in mercy” (Ephesians 2:4) has reached down to rescue and redeem us through the precious offering of His Son, the perfect sacrifice.
