Walking Spencer

It hadn't been the wedding, nor the parties that surrounded the big event. Spencer had thrown the bridal shower for his twin sister, Dean had hosted the bachelor party, they'd rocked out at the wedding, and when it was over they were both about five pounds heavier.

It really hadn't been the wedding, though. It hadn't been the food or the drinks. No, it had taken something a lot more powerful than that to pack on the little bits of loose flesh they both teased about.

It had taken bread, and Dean ditching his month to month lease and moving in with Spencer. Spencer had expected that living with Dean would be awesome; he hadn't counted on Dean's ability to bake bread or Dean's willingness to bake him presents of various loaves each week.

It had been a few months of bliss, between the newly-moved-in-together sex and endless supply of fresh bread. The sum total of calories didn't even out no matter how athletic Dean had tried to make their room christenings, and eventually Spencer had to admit that a change was needed.

Since stopping the bread habit was out of the question, he'd taken up running. Dean, not really a fan of getting up an hour earlier to run before work and less of a fan of running at night, had opted to go to the gym on his lunch hours instead.

It took a few weeks to build up enough cardiovascular conditioning to run for very long or very far, but Spencer was beginning to enjoy his morning runs more often than he dreaded them. He wasn't losing very much weight -- he found that exercise made him hungry -- but he was liking the way he felt and how he could go just a little farther each day.

Spencer was also enjoying the hell out of the results Dean was getting at the gym. Working with weights and resistance was doing amazing things to Dean's abs and ass.

Thinking about things like that while running proved to be both a distraction that threw off Spencer's pace, and the thing that shaved full minutes off his time. He wasn't sure if that was good or bad, then decided that if he was concentrating on bettering speed, it was good.

Mostly it just gave him low-down tingles and got Dean pounced in the shower.

Anticipating that, Spencer let himself into their half of a duplex and locked the door behind him. He was walking down the hallway toward the bathroom, his head tipped back to swallow from his water bottle, when a hand on the center of his chest stopped him.

"You're up already," Spencer said brightly. "Wait, you're dressed. What?"

That was all wrong. Dean should never be dressed before shower time. Dressed meant probably no shower sex.

"Why are you dressed?" Spencer asked again, before Dean had even tried to reply to the first time.

Dean raised an eyebrow at him and shrugged into his windbreaker. He wasn't dressed for work, since he was wearing his track pants and a T-shirt, but he was definitely going out.
