I had just finished bathing CJ and putting him to sleep. I was on a high that no one could take away from me. I was waiting for Chase to arrive because I hadn’t seen him all day. I tried calling and FaceTiming him, but he didn’t answer. It was getting late, and I was worried about him. I got in the shower. I was hoping he and I would go a little further tonight. It had been a few days since he’d touched me in that way and I missed it. That man was dangerous, and I wanted to know how far he would go. I could tell he knew what he was doing based on our experience at Beaux’s, but I wanted to have him outside of that place.

I finished, got out, and wrapped a towel around myself. Chase was sitting on the bed when I stepped out of the bathroom. “Chase, you scared me.” I smiled, but he didn’t.

“I’m taking CJ to Sky’s.” His voice was bitter.

Confused as to why he was like this, I asked, “Okay. Is there anything you need me to do?”

He stood up and came closer to me. The way he looked at me made me feel small. “Nah, baby. I will be out late. Don’t wait up,” he said. With that, he walked out of the room.

He didn’t kiss me, smile, or anything. A feeling sank in my gut. I got dressed, slipping on one of his shirts and panties. I pulled out my laptop and started doing some schoolwork.

An hour passed, and he still had not called or returned home. My phone buzzed. Domenic was calling. “Shit!” I jumped up.

“Hello?”

“Coffee, you have a client. Menace. He will be here in thirty minutes. Will you be coming in, or do you want me to send in someone else?”

Fuck! I thought he would have left Nemo alone. It upset me that he still wanted to see Nemo after saying he liked me. So, essentially, he wanted to cheat on me. “Hello?” Domenic called out.

“I’m here. I will be in,” I said, then hung up.

If I didn’t go, then another bitch would be in there with him, and I didn’t want that.

I grabbed a few things, threw on some sweats, and left the house. When I arrived at Beaux’s, I had about ten minutes. I wanted tonight to be special because I was about to make him not want to come back here. I wore a jet-black, long, middle-part wig. I put on a midnight blue one-piece lace thong-style lingerie body suit. This time, I placed a black diamond choker with a leash around my neck and a pair of black slide-in stilettos. The mask was a front-only midnight blue mask with blue rhinestones and black lipstick. Tonight, I hoped this was Chase’s last night here because it was mine.

Breathe, Coffee. My nerves were terrible tonight. Something was telling me shit wasn’t right, but I shook the feeling.

I turned to go out the door, and Sienna came running in.
